IVF Pregnancy Tracking

IVF treatment is a method used to help couples who have infertility problems. Pregnancy tracking involves a series of steps and tests performed as part of IVF treatment. These follow-up stages are done with the aim of ensuring the successful development of the pregnancy and detecting any problems early.

The stages of IVF pregnancy follow-up may be:

  1. Monitoring After Embryo Transfer: After embryo transfer, doctors can usually check a few days or weeks later for signs of pregnancy and whether the embryo is attaching to the uterus through methods such as blood tests or ultrasound.
  2. Beta HCG Monitoring: The beta human chorionic gonadotropin (beta hCG) hormone is a hormone produced during pregnancy. When the embryo attaches to the uterus, the level of this hormone increases. The beta hCG blood test is used to monitor the presence and development of pregnancy.
  3. Ultrasonography Monitoring: Follow-up of pregnancy with ultrasonography (USG) is done to observe the implantation of the embryo in the uterus and the development of the fetus. The first ultrasound examination is usually done between the 6th and 8th weeks of pregnancy.
  4. Pregnancy Progress Monitoring: As the pregnancy progresses, ultrasound exams and doctor visits are performed regularly. In these controls, evaluations are made for the size of the fetus, heartbeat, organ development and early detection of any problems.
  5. Risk Assessment: Risk assessment is carried out during pregnancy. Closer follow-up may be required, especially for high-risk pregnancy situations.
  6. Doctor's Appointments: Regular doctor's appointments are important for pregnancy follow-up during IVF treatment. Your doctor will determine the appropriate follow-up program for you.

Important things to keep in mind:

  • Every couple and pregnancy situation is different, so the follow-up program is determined individually.
  • It is important that you are under the guidance of an experienced doctor in the field of IVF treatment.
  • Do not hesitate to share any concerns or problems with your doctor during pregnancy follow-up.

IVF treatment and pregnancy tracking processes can be complex. For this reason, it is important that you receive a specialist medical consultation during your treatment process.
